5 Women Entrepreneur Presenters x 5 Minute Pitches x $5,000 Grant

The fourth Doyenne 5x5x5 event was held on Thursday, August 24th, 2017 at UW-Madison’s School of Business.

Over 30 companies from across Wisconsin submitted applications to have the chance to be one of the five companies to present at the event.

Prior to the event, Doyenne Coaches met with presenters two times for pitch coaching sessions to work with the entrepreneurs to make sure they were meeting the judging criteria and staying within the five-minute limit.

Laneice McGee of Future Entrepreneurs Moving Ahead (F.E.M.A.) was our Emcee for the day and did a fabulous job keeping the energy high throughout the event and making sure our presenters felt comfortable and confident when they came on the stage.
You Got It! Just Do It!

The judges had the incredibly difficult job of deciding which presenter was awarded the $5,000 grant. Judges scored each presenter on how well they addressed the following areas:

  • What is the Business
  • Who is the Target Market
  • Who are their Competitors
  • What Accomplishments have they made to date
  • How will the $5,000 be used or leveraged to move the business forward

Pathogenomica was awarded the $5,000 grant! We look forward to continuing to see their business grow and become a leader in the water testing industry!
