HQ Update: Transitioning members to our new model

 --

In January when we launched our new website and platform, we also officially launched our new tiered membership model, which we had unveiled in October 2019.

The new membership model has two levels, Startup and Growth, priced at $25 or $50 per month, respectively. One of the most frequently asked questions we get about the new membership is "Which level do I fit into?” For many of us, the words "startup" and "growth" have specific connotations that may or may not apply to us. But the best way to decide which membership level is right for you is to think about which benefits you want to access.

If you know you really want to take advantage of Doyenne’s one-on-one coaching from coaches trained in anti-racism and anti-gender bias, then signing up for the Growth level in order to receive four coaching sessions per year is totally worth it. The value of the coaching sessions alone pays for the membership right away.

If you are looking for more connection to the entrepreneurial community, want to attend Doyenne public events for free, and want access to some of the Learning Lab pieces to support your professional development on your own time, then the Startup level might be a good fit for you.

We're also still developing some of the programs that go along with the Growth level. You can switch (or cancel) your membership at any time, so you may want to register at the Startup level now and switch to Growth when more benefits are available.

Being a member of Doyenne isn't just about the price breaks you receive for our programming and coaching. It's also about being part of a community of like-minded entrepreneurs who stand alongside and support the Doyenne mission of creating entrepreneurial ecosystems where all women thrive. We don't require members to identify as women entrepreneurs to become members, but women entrepreneurs make up more than 95% of our membership.

Since January, only about 20 of our 200 members have officially made the switch to the new membership. This means if you're a member who is still paying the annual $150 membership rate, you won’t be able to take advantage of your membership. Your old membership did not transfer, so you won’t receive any benefits.

Over the next month, we're going to reach out to anyone who is currently a paying member who needs to make the switch. We'll be sending information on how to switch your membership as well as encouraging you to sign up for a New Member Coffee or Information Session to learn more about accessing the new Membership Benefits

We're not offering refunds for old membership payments anymore unless there are extenuating circumstances. If you have questions, please contact your Doyenne City Director.
